Our Story

In 2022 we began Tígó. 

We’re Erna + Eydís, a mother-daughter duo originally from Iceland, now creating and growing our brand in Canada. We share a love for working with materials and sewing, and what started as a creative outlet quickly became something more, a way to spend quality time together while building something meaningful. Whether we’re listening to podcasts, music, or catching up on a little gossip, every piece we create is made with care and intention.

Everything we make is thoughtfully handmade by us in Canada, with a strong focus on quality and craftsmanship.

We’re known for our wide range of high-quality, handmade scrunchies. Supporting small and local businesses is important to us, and we strive to reflect that in everything we do as we continue to grow our brand. We carefully select our fabrics to ensure the best quality, while offering a variety of colours so you can find the perfect scrunchie for any occasion or any colour your heart desires.

Our goal is to create scrunchies that fit seamlessly into your everyday life. From sleeping comfortably, to dressing up for events with our Large Scrunchies, staying active with our Swim | Active scrunchies, or simply enjoying the ease of our Small Scrunchies—there’s something for every moment.

We began 2025 with the exciting launch of our Detangling Hair Brush and look forward to expanding our collection as our brand continues to evolve.
